User analysis allows our creative’s and application development experts to focus on developing interface designs and system functionality that work effectively for their intended users groups. A deep understanding of users and their environment is necessary to develop the desired user experience and build systems that will ultimately satisfy the user's needs.
There are five major components that we consider when completing user analysis:
Usage Objectives
Usage objectives focus on those aspects of a website, or system that will satisfy the primary goals of user analysis. Identifying area’s such as ease of use, speed and access to the desired information and functionality.
User Roles
User roles are about determining who will be using the website or system. In almost all project cases there are usually multiple user’s types from system administrators to end customers.
User Characteristics
Knowledge of your user’s characteristics allows more effective design of a the digital interface, system architectural and functional requirements or the project.
Usage Environment
Many aspects of the user's work environment may require special considerations to alleviate potential problems. Internet connection speed, computer operating systems, software and accessibility requirements are all key factors that must be considered when designing and developing the digital interface and system functionality.
User Interface
The user interface is usually designed to satisfy usage objectives, roles and user characteristics. The ease with which the user can interface with the website or system must remain a high priority to achieve these goals.
As part of the initial project scoping phase, our team of qualified experts will work closely with you to conduct the most relevant user analysis in order to validate the design and functional requirements for your project.
